# Acorny ## Description Acorny is a lightweight Readwise alternative for reviewing the highlights you already saved. Capture highlights from webpages, Kindle, and 8+ sources, turn them into active recall cards, and review them with spaced repetition — so you actually remember what you read. ## Features - Browser Extension: Capture highlights from any webpage with a single click. - Active Recall Cards: Turn highlights into review cards with cloze-deletion prompts. Users select the words to hide, then practice retrieval. - Spaced Repetition: Review schedule based on SM-2 algorithm. You review less, remember more. - Daily Digest: A curated set of highlights delivered for review each day. - Import: Bring existing highlights from Readwise, Instapaper, Cubox, and Diigo. - Data Export: Your highlights are your knowledge — export anytime. - Free During Beta: Save unlimited highlights at no cost during public beta. ## Getting Started 1. Install the browser extension (Chrome, Firefox, Edge). 2. Highlight text on any webpage. 3. Review your highlights daily with active recall cards. 4. (Optional) Import existing highlights from Readwise or other sources. ## API Acorny provides developer endpoints for importing and exporting highlights: - Readwise-compatible adapter for Moon+ Reader and similar clients. - Native Acorny ingest API for scripts and integrations. - Read-only export feed for Obsidian sync, backup scripts, and local-first clients.
